The Challenge
John Scott Works, a prominent division of the PRN Group, are experts in designing, manufacturing, and installing mezzanine floors. As part of their ongoing commitment to sustainability and reducing their environmental footprint, JSW embarked on a project to integrate renewable energy solutions into their operations. Recognising the importance of sustainable manufacturing, the company identified the installation of a solar photovoltaic (PV) system on the roof of their factory as a key initiative.
The Approach
NSI Energy delivered a comprehensive turnkey solution for JSW, handling everything from applying for the grid connection agreement on their behalf to testing and commissioning the completed system. NSI Energy provided complete designs, modeled various scenarios, and assisted the client in selecting a 98kWp system. Our project manager oversaw the detailed design, procurement, and installation of the system. They ensured the safe, on-budget, and timely installation of 216 Tier 1 solar panels and a Solis inverter.
The Outcome
This high-performance system will produce 88,000 kWh of electricity per year, meeting 48% of the client’s energy needs. With an impressive payback period of less than four years, this investment offers an excellent return on investment while delivering significant cost savings on energy bills. By offsetting over 20 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, the system also demonstrates a strong commitment to John Scott Work’s environmental responsibility.
